Who we are

Salon Brain is a business dashboard for Australian salons, operated from the Gold Coast, Queensland. It turns a salon's own financial and booking-system data into plain-English insight for the salon's owner. You can contact us any time at hello@salonbrain.com.au.

What we collect

• Account details — your name and email address, used to sign you in and identify your account. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us; we never see your Google password.
• Your salon's financial data— profit & loss figures from your accounting exports (such as Xero), which you or our team load into your dashboard.
• Staff performance data— figures from your salon software's reports (such as Phorest, Fresha or Timely): visits, rebooking rates, retail sales and similar. This includes information about your staff members, so treat your dashboard access accordingly.

How we use it

Only to run your dashboard: computing your figures, showing your trends, and generating your action plans. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use one salon's data to inform another salon's dashboard. Insights are calculated by tested software — your financial figures are not sent to AI services.

Who can see it

Your salon's data is visible to your own signed-in account and to Salon Brain's administrators, who load and maintain data as part of the managed service. Every database query is scoped to the owning account, and that isolation is enforced by automated tests. Other customers can never see your data.

Where it lives

Data is stored with reputable cloud providers: authentication with Clerk, hosting with Vercel, and our database with Neon, currently hosted in the United States with a planned move to Australian region hosting. Uploaded files are stored privately and are never publicly accessible.

Your choices

• Access or correction— email us and we'll show you what we hold about your salon or fix anything that's wrong.
• Deletion— if you close your account, we'll delete your salon's data on request. If you simply cancel, your dashboard goes read-only and your data is kept so you can return.

Changes

If our practices change, this page changes with them, with the date above updated. Significant changes will be flagged to account holders by email.
